Choosing Waterproofing Systems for Tile Showers
I think its fair to say the things are costing a lot more these days!!
Curbless showers require the outside floor height to level with the entrance to a shower. One of the biggest challenges for anyone remodeling an existing bathroom.
For most homes with wood framing, it’s fairly easy. Simply remove existing subfloor and recess even with joints 👍
Once you install the new plywood, your drop into shower will be 3/4”
This works great for a Wedi Curbless Pan
For a concrete subfloor, I recommend busting out the concrete in the shower area to create a curbless entrance
Then form and slope a mudbed 👍
Its hard to get much faster and efficient than installing a Tile Redi Shower pan!
Wedi can easily be modified to custom fit and build a shower 👍

Schluter Kerdi Membrane for waterproofing over a mud bed shower build
Liquid waterproofing is really the most fool proof way to go 👍
