Apply Teflon tape clockwise 4-5 revolutions
Apply pipe sealant overtop of teflon tape
This ensures a good seal 👍

These shower valves have a lot of wiggle room for depth setting
Most circumstances you can install a 2 x 6 or 8 blocker to the back of a 2x4 wall and be at the perfect depth
This works for finished wall surfaces of up to 1 1/2" thick
Most tile installations will be:
1/2" backer board +
3/8" thick tile +
1/4" thinset =
1 1/8" overall finished wall thickness 👍
+ or - 3/8" from edge of plaster guard 👍
Test and ensure there are no leaks 😊

After tile is set 🌟 Be sure fully rotate out stops out to open valves
